HERE'S HOW IT WORKS...
- You contact me about commissioning a portrait painting
- We discuss your budget and the size of your painting (prices below).
- You send me a good reference photo and a $50 non-refundable deposit.
- Most portrait paintings take 4 - 6 weeks to complete depending on number of subjects and size.
- I will share a photo with you of your finished painting and ship it to you after you have paid in full. (Shipping fees are added on to the price of the painting) If you are local we will arrange an in-person pick up.
- You hang your painting in your home with love and cherish it for years to come!

Jennifer uses a unique process to develop a beautiful likeness of her subjects...
She begins with a "block in" underpainting in black and white to establish the tonal values and facial features.

Next, she adds oil paint transparent and opaque layers to bring the portrait to life with luminescent colors and textures.

When the oil paint is dry, she apples a clear encaustic (hot wax) medium to seal the painting. |
When the hot wax layer is set, pan pastels are used to create translucent, ethereal effects.
